The Rock Paper Scissors of Warmachine

Rock Paper Scissors is the most balanced game out there.  Each item has one other item it will beat, and another it will lose to.  However, that's not saying that there isn't skill in playing the game.  But despite which item you use, they are all equal in power.  Warmachine is similar.

Having just attended the wonderful Privateer Weekend at Diecon in St. Louis, I think it's a perfect time for me to talk about the Hardcore format.  Also, I'm glad to be back blogging after a long and unintentional hiatus!  Most of my Warmahordes time in the past little while was in preparation for Hardcore, and the rest is attributed to laziness.  Without further adieu, my first blog post in a month and a half!

Claw 'n Fang at 25 points

As promised, here is my rendition of the best Hordes casters for the Hordes equivalent of Mangled Metal.  Again, as a disclaimer, this is by no means an exhaustive list of what might be good or competitive, nor do I believe warlocks not covered here to be incompetent in the MM format.  Without further adieu:

Mangled Metal at 25 points

We have a Mangled Metal tournament coming up at the local game store.  I went through all of the factions, thinking about which warcaster/warlock would be good at a 25 point level running only warjacks or warbeasts.  Now, this is in no way an exhaustive list, nor is it the best 'caster/'lock for the job, but there are some very appropriate choices for each faction.

Introduction

Hey everyone.  My goal for this blog is to chat about anything and everything Warmahordes.  I have been playing Warmachine and Hordes for a year and a half so far, and I feel that I have some views and opinions that are worth sharing.

Throughout the course of this blog, I will be reviewing new models, doing tactics articles for models, old and new, and speculating on spoiled pictures.  I will also do occasional battle and tournament reports, if I feel there is something new and worthwhile to share from them.

I hope you all enjoy reading this blog!  Feel free to leave any questions and comments!
